Windows
We got a couple of quotes for windows, one from a mainstream dealer and another from a more local firm. We got quoted for standard upvc and for evolution flush upvc (beautiful) costs coming in between £8.5k - £15k for the front of the house only...unfortunately we just can't afford that. In the end we sourced them from www.modernupvcwindows.co.uk, 4 X Windows ranging from 1.5m wide to 2.5m wide and over 1m tall for £1.6k. In total including fitted they cost £2k, they are easy clean, profile 22, dummy windows throughout and have high quality hinges and handles. Would definitely recommend this route. They give the house a lovely facelift, make the rooms much warmer and block out all sound. The old windows were aluminium framed and must have been over 30 years old.

A walk in shower entails a large glass front panel with a hinged support bar. Some models include a sliding door. If a window is too small, a flipper panel may be necessary. These enclosures are hinged and can be easily folded out for a larger opening. The glass is usually at least 600mm long. These fixtures are not available in all sizes, so you can customize the length and width to match the space in your bathroom. Get More Information: Walk in shower enclosures

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you made a great decision with the windows! Those quotes from the mainstream dealers can get overwhelming, so it's awesome that you found a more affordable solution. The fact that they not only improved the look of the house but also made it warmer and quieter is a big win. Replacing 30-year-old aluminum frames must have been a huge upgrade! How has the difference been in energy efficiency—have you noticed any impact on your heating costs yet?
