Post Christmas

The first picture shows what our room looked like for quite some time, note the candle effect light fixture...why was it popular to put light fixtures directly in front of the window and only marginally away?!

Having replumbed the house we set to work installing a 10kw electric shower in the downstairs bathroom (picture below). This was our only source of hot water so washing the dishes wasn't much fun! Particularly as the sink is cracked. 

The next set of pictures show what the garden looked like after we'd done the mass clean up and our attempts at bricking up a couple of random internal windows that are attached to the extension bedroom built in the 70s over the garage.

You will note that to keep warm as well as utilising electric heaters that family and friends kindly lent us we tried to have fires...this was an amazing luxury for us until next door told us that smoke was leaking through the chimney into their house which put that to bed immediately. Back to the trusty and electricity thirsty heaters.
